Everything Is Automatic.

...I'm actually up at a decent hour.

It seems to have snowed quite a bit–I won't be going outside today.
Hm... I doubt my brother's not going downtown today.
No headphones for me. *sigh*
Hopefully the weather's better tomorrow, need to get some printing done.
Don't you hate when you get so lazy you lose all motivation to do... anything?
I'm gonna try my best to actually work. And I mean it.
It's just unfortunate that my homework involves a computer.
Maybe I should make MSN and Safari a little less accessible.
Yeah, I think I'll do that. I'll be a semi-hermit today, maybe even tomorrow?
Sounds good.

Oh, and... I really need to learn how to shut my big mouth up sometimes.

I totally ruined something for myself.
I always end up doing that, even if it's not my intent.
I've had plenty of experience with this sort of dilemma.
Why does this keep happening?
I guess it's naivety and sheer stupidity.
... need to make some changes to prevent it.
I'm totally kicking myself right now.
Need a contingency plan.
But yeah, let's not talk about this any further?

Looking forward to my day of work, work and... more work!

Not.

The End.

Standard Lines

This week has gone by way too quickly.
Now I'll have to commit my weekend to work.
Well, actually more like 4 hour training Saturday, 7 hour shift Sunday.

I made a list of things to do during this week.
I have so far done 3/5 things on that list.
Mostly because I have certainly developed OCD.
So far I have cleaned my room, bathroom and front foyer (not on my list) .
I have also done a few loads of laundry and folded clothes.
The two other things on my list (associated with school, homework) have been left untouched.

It's almost 2 o'clock and I'm not quite sure what I'm to do next.
Well, there's always those two other things on my list that I haven't done...
But with my school's strike still far from ending, work will probably be the last thing I'll do.

Well, another pointless entry.
I apologize my life isn't that eventful.

I think I'll watch my new favorite movie... for the third time this week.
You can always count on movie gang violence to keep you entertained.

The End.

It's So Simple.

Pointless entry.

So I'm home alone right now... well, for another hour or so.
My school is STILL on strike. I was kinda hoping to go back on Monday. *sigh*

My OCD has been acting up again...
I have officially cleaned my bathroom and made my bed.
I will soon be cleaning the remainder of my room.
And probably do some laundry.

I'm actually planning to do some work today.
Like, actual homework.
That's how bored I am right now.

Hm... is it weird to get nosebleeds after you're sick?
I don't know... but my mom is telling me it is.
I think I'm losing too much blood, though.
I'm feeling kinda light-headed  and weak.

Alright. Back to cleaning...

BTW. Crows Zero is now my favorite movie.
I'm convinced that I'll marry a Japanese Yakuza member.

The End.

Error: Operator

So I think it would be more fun to shuffle all of the songs on my itunes and randomly choose a song which would have the honour of titling my blog entries. I guess I was cheating before because I have smaller sub-playlists within my itunes. With the way I'm doing it now, it makes it more interesting, I guess.

Last week was indeed eventful. I had my first day of work/training last Monday... the day after I had orientation. I had training again on Wednesday. Well, it was more like... the girl training me let me do everything and she would just help me out when I n00bed out. Oh well, I got to go home 1.5 hours early that day...

On Friday, I got to hang out with my best friend and one of our university friends. We first went to a Thai restaurant and had chicken curry. It was pretty good. ;D After that, we got to go to our friend's house and literally watched like... 2-3 ARASHI concerts and 2 NEWS concerts. It was awesome. I think I honestly tired myself out from spazzing over Shigeaki Kato who, might I add, was shirtless on MANY occasions. *faints*

Saturday, I got a chance to go to Pacific mall with one of my close friends. I was really glad I got to spend time with her because, along with going to different schools (well, in this case... she goes to school when I sit on my butt at home. haha), we just didn't get to hang out in a while. I got myself a hat which, a lot of people may argue, might be a little expensive for that calibre of hats... but trust me, by the time we were going home, I was so grateful for spending those $28. Basically, it was windy and snowy all over the place. If I didn't have that hat, my ears would've probably fallen off.

I tried actually doing homework on Sunday... the result? Me downloading movies and concert videos via bitorrent and mindless internet surfing.

So I had a 6.5 hour shift at work today. I was told on Wednesday that I was going to train with one of my co-workers that is actually pretty good-looking, but a little intimidating. Well, instead, I ended up training with a girl who was really, really nice. Well, after about a half hour, my boss calls me over to start cashing people out by myself. I honestly think God was testing me. Seriously. The first register I used, the conveyor belt would not stop moving. The second register, the conveyor belt wouldn't work/move. And the third register I used, the light didn't work. So customers didn't know if my lane was open or not. THEN at one of the busiest times, the register froze and it took forever to get it to work again. It's weird, because in the 2 times I was training, there were very little complications. Right when I get to use the cash register by myself, all of these weird things happen. So yeah, apparently, my training is over. I better read up on my handbook. *sigh*

Oh so, I really do think that working at Ikea will make me lose weight. Why you ask? Well, I'm basically moving around constantly scanning and calculating items. Then, when it's not busy, I walk around the store to put things back in it's place or in the stock area. Then on my way home, it's a 10 minute walk to the bus stop and another 20 minute walk from the bus stop to my house. Well, today... it was more like 30-ish minutes because the sidewalks weren't plowed/shovelled. Holy geez.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention. I got sick on Wednesday. I woke up with a sore throat and I was feeling lousy the whole time I was at work. It was really cold that day and I had to walk to the bus stop and take the bus up to the mall for my dad to pick me up. As I sat on the bus, I felt sicker and sicker. I thought I had the flu. Once I got home, I had some soup, tea and sleep. After 2 hours, I was still sick... but not as sick. It died down to... a cold. So I took care of myself all of Thursday, meaning eating nothing but hot soup and drinking nothing but hot lemon tea. Guess what? I lost 4 pounds in 3 days from being sick. Scary. Well, I'm back to my old weight BEFORE the holiday weight gain. Need to lose quite a bit for May.

And yeah... I'm gonna go watch one of the movies I torrented.

The End

愛なんて

About my title:  My playlist for the past few weeks have consisted of NEWS songs, so they're mostly Japanese song titles. There's a few English titles.. and some of them I've translated. I was going to romanize this one, but I particularly like the way it looks in Japanese. Basically, the romanized version of 愛なんて is "ai nante" which, when translated in English means "what's love". Totally irrelevant to the subject of my entry...hehe.

ANYWAY, I had my orientation for IKEA today. It was pretty fun. We basically got talked to, signed papers and had a tour of the store. There were 5 people (including myself) being... oriented? haha. So I was talking to this one girl and once we got over the awkward stuff, she was pretty cool. She told me I acted and sounded just like her friend.

So basically, I have training tomorrow at 9:45-2:45. Then I'm training again on Wednesday. I was supposed to train again on Friday... but I got that off because I have a certain JE concert marathon I have to attend to.

I'm really glad I got the job. Now I won't be sitting on my butt at home doing nothing but refreshing and checking the same 3 websites over and over again. Since I don't have my license, there may be times where I'll have to take the bus. Which is fine, I'll be forced to exercise by walking to and from the bus stop. I've totally gained weight from the holidays... I really need to start exercising for my cosplay in May and just to be healthier in general. But I think it won't be much of a problem because I'll be keeping myself busy.

And yeah... totally contradicting my last paragraph, but I'm just gonna relax for a while. I think I'll work out or something later. Need... motivation!

The End.

Ordinary.

Hello there.

Haven't done too much this week. Well, the few things I have done we were pretty interesting. I got a call from IKEA on Tuesday. I was really glad they called because when they called the Friday before that, I missed it and when I tried calling them back, I was put on hold listening to a woman and a French man talk about furniture assembly and bringing my kids to IKEA....yeah.  Well, I did miss the call again on Tuesday... but luckily the person who called left a message and number. So I called them and I got a semi-interview over the phone. I don't think I'm very comfortable on the phone... I'm better at talking to someone in person. But! I ended up getting an interview the next day.

I woke up at 8:30AM Wednesday to get to my interview by 10AM. Thanks to the wonderful snow storm the night before, I had to leave my house 30 minutes early. In short, once I got to IKEA, I had to wait a while for my interviewer to come get me. After that long while, I had 2 separate interviews. Both of which went well. I got similar questions among both interviewers so I just recycled my answers. hehe.

So I woke up at... 2:30PM today. I got a call around 3PM from IKEA and... I got the job! I have to go to orientation tomorrow at 10AM-2PM.

Since I can't go to church tomorrow, I went today at 5PM. It was freezing outside. When I got to the church, my glasses fogged up. But yeah, I'm glad I went. Not only will I not feel guilty, I got to hear "Children of the Light" as a hymn for the first time in... 8 years. XD

So what else have I been doing? I went to pacific mall yesterday with a friend. We were looking for birthday presents for our friend but ended up empty handed. Well, we did get art supplies. Also, we had Chicken Katsu and tempura. So. Freaking. Good.

The day before that, I went to bed at 4:30AM because I was spazzing with one of my friends on msn. Can you believe we talked from 9:00-4:30? That's 7.5 hours. Holy crap. Well, for 3/7 hours, we were watching a drama that we promised to watch together for a quite some time. After watching that drama, I really want to make/eat Hayashi Raisu and Curry Katsu. I even found recipes! Anyway, because of this strike, I have been watching more dramas in these 2 months than I have in 2 years. I'm not even kidding. It's kinda sad. Speaking of the strike...I probably won't  be in school for another...2-3 weeks. Hurray for greediness. >.>

Besides that... nothing much else. My room is slowly getting messier and messier. Well, I can still see the surface of my desk and floor.... I think my OCD is acting up again. I'm gonna go clean.

The End.

Alibi.

If my school year was going along normally, today would've been the start of second semester. Unfortunately, a certain labour dispute happened two months ago and I'm sitting in my room writing this entry. Anyway, I thought it was about time to update. Since the holiday rush is over for the most part, I'll have time to.... do work.

So a short update on what I've been doing the past fews days.
New Year's Eve, I went for sushi with a friend. We ate so much that we could barely do up our coats. That was followed by a walk to Wal-Mart, wandering around the mall and eventually buying hair dye at the drug store. That night, I spent time with the family. My sister went to a hall with her friends and so my brother, mother and I watched the New Year's Eve special on TV. I really want to watch Jersey Boys. Like, really.

New Year's Day, I dyed my hair with my friend. While we waited for the hair dye to settle, we watched WANTED. My hair colour's pretty cool. It's a dark reddish-brown but it's not so obvious until I stand under a light. The hair  dye I used was pretty good. If I can't find a good wig, maybe I'll just cut and dye my hair for my cosplay. That would probably cost less...
That night, we went to a friend's house for hot pot and watched movies. Pretty fun. I'm glad really glad that, although some of us go to different schools, I'm still good friends with a lot of the people I met in high school. My sister told me once, "you know you're truly good friends with someone when, even though you haven't seen each other in forever, you talk like nothing's changed".

The day after that, I went shopping with my brother and sister. I didn't buy too much. More like, two shirts. For some reason, I can't find anything that I want in particular. Well, there are some things... but I don't think I have the money for all of them. It involves going back to Japan... or ordering stuff online. Sigh.

So there's a possibility that the strike might end next week so I'm actually pressured to get my work done. Have you ever seen that movie, WANTED? Well, there's a scene in the movie where the main character, Wesley Gibson, is told to shoot the wings off flies. He's doubtful up until the point where someone points a gun to his head and threatens , "either you shoot... or I do". Basically, that's how I am. I can't get anything done until I have a certain date or objective to work up to... and of course, the pressure. I suppose that's why I procrastinate so much... even though it stresses the hell out of me.

So after downloading a bunch of songs and watching a bunch of videos, I am now a NewS fan. I have been playing their songs on repeat for one week straight now. My friend, who is obsessed with this group has been subtly brainwashing me by showing me videos and sending me songs from time to time... I think it worked. Anyway, my favorite would probably be... Shigeaki Kato, especially when he's wearing glasses.

*faints.*
Funny story, when I was Japan, my friend and I went to a department store and we were looking at magazines. I found one that had a bunch of Japanese idols in it and thought, "oh! Japanese boys!" So I wasn't too sure if I should buy this magazine until I saw a picture of Shigeaki Kato even though at the time, I didn't know who he was. So now, I'm fangirling over NewS with my friend. The other night, I was up till 3:30AM watching videos with her. Oh my.

So I've been looking for some dramas to watch... I was suggested to watch Kurosagi last year. I decided to watch it, especially since a member of NewS is the main character. But for some reason, I can't really get into it... and so the search for another drama begins. I watched the Hana Yori Dango movie yesterday. Well, more like finished it since I watched half of it in Japan. It was really good. I would like to spaz about it, but I don't want to ruin it for you.

Wow, this entry seems to all over the place. So although it's a little late to talk about New Year's resolutions, I thought I'd share mine. There's quite a few.

-Take better care of myself, actually exercise and lose weight.
-Procrastinate and get distracted less.
-Prioritize my time and money better.
-Draw more, get better at art and design.
-Don't get offended so easily. Actually listen to what other people have to say.
-Be more open to ideas and different people.

Yeah so... some of these I've amazingly have gotten into the habit of doing. Especially the third and fourth resolution. Hopefully I can constantly remind myself of these and actually commit to them.

And that's about it... I think I'm actually going to go get something done.

The End.
