I have a bunch of rough copies due for 2 classes with the same professor tomorrow. You'd think you wouldn't have to put as much effort into rough copies, right? Wrong. Droves of people in my classes put TONS of effort into their roughs. I guess it benefits them in the end... since they'll only have to tweak their designs just a teeny bit. Stupid me acted normal and made pencil sketches.
It's all good, though. One week tomorrow, I'll officially be done my fall semester. Then I'll have a glorious 12 day break from school because it's the exam period. I don't get exams for my design practicum classes... only my non-design, full-year classes give exams. Which will be in March. Thank you so much for taking pity on us!
So my job is pretty good so far. I'm getting the hang of things. I'm starting to memorize codes and all that great stuff. I kinda feel like a robot at work though. It's kinda strange. Apparently, one of my co-workers said that she doesn't even have to fully think anymore because everything is so automatic. I just have to deal with the difficult customers. Honestly, you'd be surprised at how many people CANNOT read a huge yellow sign with large black type. People come into my lane and give me cash in a CREDIT AND DEBIT CARD ONLY lane. Then they shout at me for not accepting cash. I'll tell you a nice story. So this guys comes into my lane and buys all this stuff. I tell him his total and he takes out a bunch of twenties. I tell him that I can't accept cash because it's a debit and credit lane. Then he gets all pissed and says, "what? why aren't you accepting cash?!?! you should put a sign up to let people know this stuff!" and I got, "uh... sir, there's a sign right over there." *points*. Then he obliges into paying with his debit card and later on asks for a plastic bag. I tell him that bags are now 5 cents each. Then he goes, "WHAT?! WHAT KIND OF SCREW-UP (yes, screw-up, not screwed up, screw-up) STORE IS THIS?!?!" I'm sorry, there's only a huge white sign next to the plastic bags telling you that they cost 5 cents in LARGE BLUE TYPE. And you know... Ikea has only been doing this since... a year and a half ago? People can be so stupid. Honestly. I also love how they never blame this stupidity on themselves. They have to take it on the person that has no control over this. Me. It's like, "ARGH! I CAN'T READ AND I'M SO EMBARRASSED THAT I'M GONNA EMBARRASS MYSELF FURTHER BY SPAZZING OUT ON THIS ASIAN CHICK!" Gah. Idiots.
Wow, that was a long rant. haha.
So I reallllyyyy need to get my license. I have been having very bad experiences with public transit lately. Yesterday, I was a good 5-10 minutes late for class because my bus was 15 minutes late. Then when it arrived, it was so packed that the people at my stop couldn't get into the bus. Then, I had to wait another 15 minutes. Gah. Today, it was raining like crazy and I had to get to a kinko's from work. The bus went into the Kinko's area... but for some reason, it wasn't going the opposite way. So I had to call my dad to pick me up, wait in traffic while I sat in a burger king for half an hour.
I'm guessing God is giving me a sign. Since I have 12 days off of school, that's plenty of time to practice driving and get my license before March 30, which is the day I started my driving classes last year. If I don't get it before that date, I would've spent $300 for nothing.
Alright, this is getting soooo ranty and long. I'm sorry. I guess I need to get some work done. *sigh*
Can't wait till Sunday! Getting my ears pierced with one of my close friends. I don't know what to get though... Helix? Double Helixes? Conch? Tragus? Ahhh so many choices! *w*
Hmm... Sunday will probably seem extremely far away before there's so many obstacles before that day. 1) Classes for 8 hours tomorrow. 2) Collectively 11.5 hours of part-time job goodness Friday and Saturday. Oh Joy!
The End.
